Warriors of Chaos leak!

Another leak from a European White Dwarf! Warriors of Chaos. A lot of these sculpts are fantastic. Some of the best in a while from GW.

Chaos is out! Preorders are open.

So, Games Workshop has opened preorders for Chaos Space Marines. Good sculpts, everything looks appropriately shiny. But FIFTY DOLLARS for a CODEX? I have no idea what GW is smoking, seriously. The idea is to make the books cheap so people can get hooked, then charge for the plastic crack. If the rest of the Codex releases are this much, I don't know I'll be buying any. Anyway, typical GW behavior. Have some pictures.

Wait..how much?
Dragon, hoooo.
Raptors
Fiend of shooty doom?

Chaos 'Leak' from White Dwarf

Stumbled across a few 'leaked' pics from a White Dwarf magazine. Leaked as in snapped from someone's magazine. Some of the designs are pretty cool, definitely good sculpts. But that dragon flier thing is...silly. The Warpsmith looks entirely too cluttered. Like a poorly sculpted Dr. Octopus. The 'Fiends' are pretty badass though, as are the Raptor things. I'm finding myself less and less amused by overly complicated sculpts though. Just personal taste there.

Warpsmith has been reading too many spider man comics!

RAWER! IMMA DRAGON

Forgefiend. Shiny monster thing.

Mauler. Even shinier monster.

Raptors! Might just be the picture, but looks like GW's painting standards are down.

More Raptor-y goodness.

He's gonna get you.

Close up.

Gencon Day 3: Talking Infinity

One of the few non-tournament events I actually signed up for was the "Past, Present and Future of Infinity" Event. Learned a lot about the company's history, and some about the present. Most interesting of all was the future, of course. Pictures of the slides and some artwork will follow, as they're certainly cooler then me rambling about how neat the game is. One of the things I found most reassuring about their future is that they seem pretty focused on quality and slow growth over throwing out anything they can to make more money.
